Edwin’s passion and knowledge of the history of Mexico was evident and so interesting . He was able to answer all our questions and took his time to make sure we understood.

So much history and culture! It was great. Our guide was wonderful. Recommend this casual and very informative tour. Also, waking around the Chapultepec park on our own was great.

This was our second time to Mexico City but first time to visit either museum. I was worried it would be overwhelming to do both in one day, but Carlos made the experience feel like just the right balance. We never felt rushed or like we were missing out. He is an exceptionally knowledgeable guide. And the break between both locations was just perfect. I highly recommend this tour and especially Carlos.

Our private tour of Chapultapec Castle and the Anthropology Museum was outstanding and our guide, Isais, was exceptional. The two sites themselves are certainly highlights of any visit to Mexico City, but Isais introduced us to worlds we might never have noticed and certainly would not have understood without his extensive knowledge of the places, the history and the art he clearly loves so much. It can't be easy to leave a 75 year old grandma and a 12-year-old grandson with the impression that they each experienced an adventure exactly calibrated to their own interests with a guide who knocked it out of the park, but Isais did exactly that. From the moment we made the reservation, he communicated with us to introduce himself, to clarify expectations, to deliver idiot-proof directions to our meeting place, and finally to warn us that the traffic was congested on Sundays so we should leave early in order to meet him in time to experience the whole tour. (I also want to note here that his English is perfect, and that made a big difference to an old lady who doesn't want to admit she's deaf and a kid who might not have had the energy to hang on otherwise.) We began at the Castle where Isais' first choice was to steal off to a quiet side-chamber where he introduced us to Siqueiros' vast and gorgeous mural, De Porfirismo a la Revolucion, a work so vivid and powerful that both my grandson and I felt consumed by it and were ready then and there to join Zapata's army and fight for justice! This didn't just happen. It was Isais' ability to interpret the subtleties of the mural and his ability to bring the history alive that made it possible. This was our first experience with Mexican murals and it was, honestly, profound. The rest of Isais' tour continued in the same vein. My grandson loves art and history and is extremely curious. Isais not only had answers for his questions, but made connections across time and cultures, probed his imagination, challenged him and led him deeper into the Mexican world, and he did the same for me. I was a history teacher for 35 years. What I witnessed here was great teaching by one and enthusiastic and enduring learning by two others. And it was FUN!! Isais can read a room in a snap, he has a great sense of humor and recognizes the needs of his people (for food and bathrooms, for example) almost before they do. Our experience at the Museum of was equally inspiring. We were fascinated and awed by Isais' interpretation of the Mexica (Aztec) calendar and by the stories he told of Montezuma's quetzal feathered headdress, among many others, and are especially grateful to him for pointing out the Mural of Tlalocan and encouraging us to look for the original the next day when we were to visit Teotihuacan. We did, and it was magnificent. I could go on, but it would be more of the same level of unlimited praise for Isais and the entire experience. My grandson and I advise: Don't miss these incredible treasures of Mexico City and make sure you do it with Isais! It was an unforgettable experience, Isais, and we will always be grateful for having seen it with you!

We had a fantastic time, and learned so much on this tour with Isaias! We got so much more out of our time at the spectacular Anthropology Museum, in particular, than we ever would have gathered on our own. He was also very helpful with recommendations for other things to see and places to eat while in CDMX. The ice cream stop in between museums was an added treat. Highly recommend!

Isaiah was soooo amazing! He was so smart, knowledgeable, trustworthy and extremely great with the kids. It’s not easy to keep kids engaged like he did. They learned so much and loved him. What a sweet guy.

Isaias was a great tour guide. He helped point out details in the museum and castle that we surely would have missed. I appreciated his patience and willingness to answer all of our questions. He took the time to really get to know us as well. The short break between the museum and castle for ice cream was so nice.

We had a truly wonderful morning with Edwin Cuevas, who guided us through the Anthropology Museum, Chapultepec Park, and the castle in Mexico City. Edwin was incredibly knowledgeable, warm, kind, and gracious—a fantastic ambassador for this remarkable city. If we had more time, we would have loved to book another tour with him. We’re already looking forward to our next visit and hope to explore more with Edwin, as our four-day trip only scratched the surface of all that Mexico City has to offer.
