Established in 1999, Encounters With Dolphins has been safely providing guests the opportunity to view dolphins, learn about Clearwater and enjoy the sand and sun on Compass Island and maybe even take a dip on the island! We are a small business founded on the principal of wanting our guests to have the same experiences we would want to have on our own vacation. We’re also proud of the fact that almost all of our staff are either marine biologist, conservationist or experts in marine wildlife. All of us work tirelessly to ensure that all of our customers have an enjoyable and relaxing time with us!

Today was absolutely perfect! Thank you to Jessica, Sam and Captain Dylan for a great boat tour filled with dolphin fun! Everyone was so warm and welcoming when we arrived. We were able to see quite a few dolphins and even a few babies! I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone visiting the Clearwater area. It was the highlight of our trip!

Superb experience. The island trip was amazing, and I’m really glad we chose this option with so many others available. Kaitlyn was a great host: friendly, knowledgeable, and made the entire experience smooth and memorable. Highly recommended.

We are so glad we booked this tour! Awesome captain (Niki) and first mate (Kaitlyn) who were very knowledgeable and fun to tour with! We saw dolphins so close to the boat and enjoyed the stop at compass island. Great for any age. Would definitely recommend this tour. We love that the boat was covered and has comfy seats.

Staff was friendly and helpful. We saw dolphins playing in another boat’s wake which was great to see.

We saw 2 dolphins from very far away! Also, arrived on time but had to stand in sun for 45 minutes. The island stop was a sand bar!

Great time and lots of dolphin, we even saw a baby dolphin! Sierra and Katlyn were amazing and very knowledgeable.

My husband and I went on this tour cruise and we were very satisfied. It was one of the first things we did during our stay. They delivered all that was promised and more. The operators were knowledgeable, energetic and entertaining. We saw lots of dolphins and learned interesting information about the area. Would highly recommend!!

Very friendly crew, laid back and relaxing. The crew made it fun for kids and we saw lots of dolphins. The island stop is fun!

I cannot recommend this tour enough! We saw multiple pairs of mother and child dolphins, and at one point while they were playing kind of near the boat I did my best “ee-ee-ee” dolphin call, and four of them came and jumped up right next to the boat and then swam underneath it!’ It was such a joyful experience and the crew was awesome - shout out to Captain Dillon and Sam. Plus it’s very reasonably priced: go on this tour - you will love it!
