Breathtaking Madeira NW Coast Safari: Cliffs & Villages

We were collected on time from our hotel in an open topped jeep. Our driver John was knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. The tour stopped at many places of interest and beauty and we were told when we would have opportunities for coffee/lunch etc. a few additional view point stops for photos were appreciated. At the highest point there was plenty of low cloud. This inhibited our views and of course this couldn’t be avoided. It was cold though and I’d definitely advise layers and hats as the wind in the open topped jeep was pretty sharp. It was a long day but we feel we’d packed in loads of places. Good value for money and I would recommend this company and driver but don’t forget your jumper!!

Wonderful jeep trip. Lots to see and take photo shots. John our driver was very knowledgeable and had a lot of interesting facts on the countryside and vegetation as well as a witty repartee. Especially enjoyed the off road experience. Would recommend this trip to anyone coming to the island

A third great tour for me with Safari Madeira. Driver Paolo was great. We visited a lot of the West of Madeira. Highlight was Porto Moniz with very rough seascape. Old forest up on the top was fantastic too though. This was my third tour with them and I’d recommend the to anyone.

We’re so glad we did this tour to see the variety of sights and landscapes in Madeira. Our driver was fun and flexible and seemed to just want us to have a great time while keeping us safe of course. Would definitely recommend!

We were nervous about going on this trip as we would be in an off-road jeep with limited space for 7 travellers, going through rough terrain. In the end it was perfectly fine with adequate space. Our guide “ Nico “ was fantastic. We say the highlights around the west side of the island, saw the tropical areas in the highlands and had a lot of fun doing it.

We had a great day riding in the 4X4 , with Rodrigues driving and pointing out all points of interest in an entertaining way , Standing up in jeep as we went off road was exiting too, great lunch stop and good travel companions , Can throughly recommend. Andy / Josephine.

What a fun day, many laughs with our wonderful guide. If you want to see parts of Madeira you definitely won't reach in a rental car, and learn things you might not know, this is the way forward. Off road, aswell as up and down some very interesting streets in the jeep, seeing how the locals get around. Much fun. Definitely recommend you give this a go.

Fantastic all day tour with Gabriel, he made the tour so enjoyable. The off roading was fab and enjoyed by everyone on the tour. The little quirky questions Gabriel would ask at a cross roads, shall we do this? which way shall we go and then he would speed off up a steep steep hill, engine roaring and laughing with us. He drove around a large area so you got to see different sides to the West of Maderia.
