Paracas & Huacachina: Peru's Coastal Wildlife & Oasis Sunset

Kinda sucked tbh. Take a bus and go without the tour for a day or two instead of squeezing a bunch of mediocre activities into one big day. Still go here and go sandboarding, just book the sandboarding separate and skip this.

The entire tour was really fun, highlight was the sand dune buggy rides for us! Diana and Rodrigo were great and friendly guides.

If I was to do this again, I would skip ballestas island. The boat ride around the island to see the animals was only about 15 minutes. I highly recommend Huacachina. Due to logistic mishap, we were picked up at 420am and didn’t get back to the hotel until 1230am instead of the original estimate of 11-1130pm

This was my second tour with Viator to Paracas and Huacachina and both were exceptional tours. Oswaldo was our tour guide this trip and he was very organized, a great communicator and attentive to the little details. We were picked up at our hotel at the assigned time, the boat tour to the Islas Ballestas was comfortable and informative, our lunch at the Cultur Pisco Winery was delicious and the buggy ride and sandboarding in Huacachina was an exhilarating experience! We really enjoyed the diversity of the 3 experiences in this package. Although a long full day, it's worth it!

Jordan was nice and helped us navigate the local scene. Good explanations about the culture and nature. Desert was phenomenal!

Jordan was our tour operator, he was fantastic, he translate for us as we are english speakers. When when my phone almost out of battery because of a long day, he showed us charging port on the bus which help alot. Overall good service for all three locations!

A long day worth the experience! The stops were appropriately timed and we had a great experience at Huacachina, good drivers as well!

Awesome experience! The only thing is try to be on the left side of the boat as 90% of the time, thats where there was something to see. I did read other reviews that said that their boat driver we’re making sure both sides would see the attraction but it was unfortunately not the case for us. The dune buggy was awesome. I definitely recommend to rush to the buggys to be in the front seat! Bus was clean and comfortable and we we’re able to leave our bags inside when doing activities.

Oh, this is a 5-star tour! Oswaldo is simply the best—give him a promotion 😅. I felt like a VIP with his service. He’s very attentive and you can tell he truly loves history; he explained the tour so well. He even brought little details like tissue papers, candies, hand sanitizer, and wipes in his backpack. He gave us great tips about the bandanas and the fair prices at the market so we wouldn’t get scammed. He has the best energy to keep you going through such a long day. Extra points for his music box! The breakfast stop was delicious and warm. It’s a long day, but at night they even made a stop for bathroom and snacks. Everything was very well organized—people were waiting for us at each spot, and by the end of the night he drops you right back at your pickup location.

Great trip. Ballestas islands not possible so went to other islands instead. Lovely boat and saw lots of wildlife. Pisco tasting was very good. Highlight was the sand buggy tour which was absolutely fantastic. Amazing landscape and incredible drivers. Awesome experience! Unfortunately we could not understand our tour guide Joal. He spoke Spanish and very good English but spoke so quickly and constantly switched between languages so was totally incomprehensible. Not helped by using a poor microphone. But also gave tons of information...but in a monotone all in one go instead of relevant info as we travelled along ..so don't think anyone on the bus, Spanish or English understood anything. Otherwise a great tour.
