I was in the Titanic Building for a conference and being a history nerd I went down to the exhibition before it opened. I was wandering around soaking up the extraordinary 19 th century history of Belfast and the NE of Ireland; it is fascinating. Along came this man who enquired politely whay I was doing. I explained I was attending a conference and wanted to see the exhibition. He asked if I would like a tour with him and of course I said yes. He brought me around the exhibition and I spent an hour seeing the wonders of the history of Belfast, the Harland & Wolff shipyard and the Titanic; it was superb and my guide was excellent. It turned out he was the manager of the exhibition and was extremely knowledgeable. If you have not visited this exhibition then go for it; it is a treasure trove of history. Thank you to Jordan for a great visit which I so enjoyed.

I thoroughly enjoy this experience. You need to allow plenty of time to read all the information as you make your way around.,

A great place and well worth a visit. We arrived at opening time so it wasn’t too busy, and ended up spending a good few hours exploring. Excellent value for money

Excellent morning learning so much about this dreadful disaster. It was very informative about the building of the ship, lots to read and there’s only so much you can take in. But learned so much. The ride was fun and an insight into the workers’ condition of labour. But the stunning thing was the silence as you entered into the lists of people who had died and some of their circumstances. It was so emotional. We were fortunate as there were no queues on a Tuesday morning in March. We went on SS Nomadic too- you only need half an hour.

Very good, but way to overcrowded! We visited the Titanic Museum in Belfast recently and the museum itself is genuinely impressive. The exhibitions are really well done and it is clear that a lot of thought has gone into telling the story of the Titanic. There is a lot to see and learn, and the building and displays make it a memorable experience. Unfortunately the visit was overshadowed by just how crowded it was. My partner and I felt quite overwhelmed by the sheer number of people inside. At times it was difficult to move around or properly read and take in the exhibits because there were so many visitors packed into the same spaces. It is a shame because the museum itself is excellent and could be a fantastic experience if you were able to enjoy it at a more comfortable pace. We left feeling that clearer crowd control or limits on the number of visitors at one time would make a huge difference. Overall it is a very well designed museum and definitely worth seeing, but the overcrowding really took away from what could have been a much better visit.

Titanic exhibition was brilliant. Lots of interactive information inculding a ride looking at the building of the titanic. This was very comprehensive exhibition looking at every aspect of the titanic you could imagine. Some of the special effects were stunning. Id recommend anyone coming to belfast to see it.

Fantastic experience from how Belfast got to be a major port and obviously explained really well about how the titanic was built and what happened to it!

It's diverse cleverly thought out and informative. It was a mixture of videos, personal experiences from survivors

I appreciate I am somewhat in the minority, but this experience was not for me...from a museum curation point of view, I felt this missed the mark- it was both very focused on the 'flashier' side of things (interactive, ride based etc) which are all done extremely well- and do really bring things to life, but also using a lot of 'stand and read' type information with really large amounts to read/absorb...which is difficult both in a very crowded space, and when competing with the flashier exhibts around it. For me, the two felt in constant competition and left both sides feeling underserved. Which is a shame because it's clear there is such a volume of research and curation behind the museum. Just not one that (for me) worked from a historical understanding/museum experience way. For me, I also found the space extremely overwhelming and overstimulating. Despite going first thing, we were queuing to get into rooms from the start, extremely packed, which made viewing exhibits really difficult (great it's so popular, but more staggering the entrance, particularly, would help). In addition, the volume of noise/lights, etc., in every room made it extremely difficult to concentrate on reading/engaging with other exhibits. But also as an autistic person, I found the crowds and constant overwhelming noise/lights far too much to handle and actually wished I'd left sooner. It would be really great to see the musuem consider sensory needs fo neurodivergent people and perhaps have quieter hours via an access scheme as I feel I missed out on being able to engage with the museum because of this.
