Alhambra VIP: Skip-Line Nasrid Palaces & Gardens Tour

Alain somehow managed to be a one-man United Nations at the Alhambra and still make it funny. We signed up for a bilingual tour and I’ll be honest: I’m not usually a fan of bilingual tours. But given what he was handed, Alain absolutely crushed it. He jumped between English and Spanish smoothly, sprinkled in a little Turkish, and at one point casually revealed he could translate Arabic like it was no big deal. Sir, leave some languages for the rest of us. He’s tall, has a delightfully dry sense of humor, and made great jokes about the sacred ritual of Instagram photos without ever being snarky. The man also came armed with facts. I’m pretty sure he dropped 20 in a single room and somehow kept all of us engaged. Also, his quizzes exposed the truth of our marriage: I was wrong, and my wife was right every time. Alain didn’t say it out loud… but the history did. If you want someone knowledgeable, fluent, and quietly hilarious, Alain is your guy.

I loved this tour of the Alhambra! Our group was very small (just six people), which made the whole experience calm and personal. I never felt rushed and had plenty of time to really take in the beauty of the Alhambra. The tour itself was perfectly designed: great pace, perfect length, and very thoughtfully put together. Our guide, Gustavo, was fantastic. He focused on the truly important details without overwhelming us with dry facts. He knew exactly where to direct our attention, while also giving us space to wander, absorb, and enjoy the atmosphere. I would 100% recommend this tour to anyone visiting the Alhambra :)

Very good and informative tour, we got lucky and had only 6 people in our group instead of possible 15, our guide Gustavo was extremely informative, witty and with good humour, therefore the tour was not only interesting from historical perspective, but fun as wellwoth extra tibits about the palace. Definately would recommend to go through the palace with a guide as it broadens the experience greatly.

Excellent and well-organized tour to the Alharmbra with a small group of 8 and our awesome local guide, Antonio, who's so knowledgeable and an excellent story teller. There were no dull moments in the 3 hours' visit. Thanks to Antonio! Alharmbra has been the highlight of our 13-day Spain trip.

Had a visit to the Alhambra where I was part of a group hosted by Alain, our guide. I think the Alhambra should be visited with a guide for sure otherwise you miss the context and history for the buildings. To this end, Alain was a really good guide. He spoke well and clearly and explained the sites and artifacts to us as we walked across the grounds for almost 2.5 hrs. He was patient and made sure to include everyone. Also very open to taking questions and interacted well with the group. Delighted that our paths crossed!

Héctor was a wonderful tour guide and went into great detail about the Alhambra and Nasrid Palaces. The tour was one of the best we’ve experienced and was elevated by the inherent beauty of everything. Definitely worth the price and would recommend it to anyone coming to Granada!

Masterful storytelling by Eduardo of the conception and construction of the Alhambra to present day preservation made my long awaited visit to the site so worthwhile. Eduardo’s love of subject , from translations of the Koran scriptures on the walls to the complexity of designs to knowing the names of trees and flowers, made the Alhambra come to life for me.
