Unforgettable Guatape: Peñol Peak, Lake Cruise & Colombian Feast

Our trip to Piedra del Peñol and Guatapé with Viaja Medellín Group was absolutely incredible! This was an excellent and popular tour. Gina and the bus driver picked us up at our hotel. The bus was full by the last pickup place. We had a very good day outside of Medellin including breakfast and lunch at local places. Everything went as scheduled and we had an interesting day with many sights. They dropped us off at our hotel late afternoon.

So first off, we bought the tickets for around 40 bucks a person. I think the value you get in this tour is freaking incredible. You start off at a meeting point catching a bus to Guatape, will you make a pitstop at a very local place to have breakfast, then you head straight to the Guatape Rock where you do the climb, then you go to the downtown area where you get to see and explore, then it’s followed by lunch, then you get a boat tour and finally it ends with a tour to a place which is a mix of a restaurant/ farm area. Our tour guide Gina was incredible and would always recommend her. She did an incredible job of filling you in about the history, gastronomy, details of the terrain throughout the whole tour.

This was my favorite tour on my trip. Gina was just amazing, she shared so much knowledge about everything really, the food was good, the vibes were good, I really had an amazing time.

It was such a fun day and we got to do so much in a short period of time where it didn’t feel rushed. Our tour guide Marlon was amazing and so knowledgeable and had such great energy. He really made the day fun! Highly recommend!
