It was a beautiful sunny Amsterdam afternoon so we knew we needed to take an open air canal cruise. The boat was very nice and had comfortable seating. I need to be facing the same way the boat is traveling to avoid motion sickness and our captain was very accommodating with this. The ride was very smooth and I never felt sick. We got to ride with Caption Dirk. He was very knowledgeable and friendly. We enjoyed his company and he answered all of our questions. We highly recommend the open air tour! The enclosed ones looked so cramped and claustrophobic.

Excellent tour guide. Best time to move around the canal is the sunset - evening time. He explained a lot about the history and explained very well. Highly recommended.

We really enjoyed our morning canal boat ride with our guide Mike who was very knowledgeable and showed us lots of points of interest. Very comfy boat too.

We ended up on a tour that consisted of just us - our unintentional private tour, which we thought might have been a bit awkward as the staff said they usually have about 30 people per tour. However, our skipper Mick was brilliant. He was very chatty (which we liked as we wanted to learn about the city), informative and funny. He didn’t shy away from the slightly awkward ‘private tour’ jokes but had a laugh with us and gave us some recommendations of places to eat / drink while we are here. Mick was great, and the tour was relaxing and showed great views of the city.

It was totally PERFECT!! Our driver was awesome!! Gave us information during trip about the city!! Also everything was clean and new in the boat!!

Brilliant Brilliant thank you Very informative and polite. There were blankets and unlimited drinks provided for us. Very very good. Would recommend and do this again. ☺️
