Very nice, good value for money, took exactly 9 hours. Very nice & helpful guide. PS the meal is late (4pm), but you can buy snacks before. Otherwise, take some sandwich. You don’t have to pick the restaurant recommended by the guide (buffet at 170$), i fou d a buffet for 130$ and it was very nice (next to the sea and nobody was there at 4pm, unlike in the recommended one full of people)

The canyon was beautiful! Our driver was over an hour late and the company continued to tell us he was five minutes away. Then they made a lot of excuses, and the driver told us different excuses when he finally picked us up. So we didn’t start off great, but the driver was nice and knowledgeable once we got going. It was a long drive to the canyon viewpoint, and then another hour and a half drive to the boat through the canyon. The boat ride was fun. They stopped at another boat right away for people to buy drinks and snacks, so it took a while to get started. The guide on the boat stopped to show us areas and tell us about them. Everything was in Spanish. There was a cute town at the end of the boat ride where you had lunch and could buy souvenirs. The tour ended up being a few hours longer than advertised.

Sumidero Canyon is well worth the visit! Chiapa de Corzo is okay and your time here is very unstructured so look up view points ahead of time.

Our guide, Olegario, was courteous, knowledgeable, and a great driver. We were picked up at our hotel at 9 as agreed. He took us to the boat launch bought our tickets and explained where we were to meet up again after a 2 hour boat tour. The boat tour itself is beautiful and very interesting. Besides a very impressive canyon we saw a variety of wildlife: spider monkeys, crocodiles, many herons, egrets, king fishers etc. After the boat tour, Olegario took us to the Magic Town of Chiapa de Corzo where we had lunch and walked around. I highly recommend this tour company. Highly professional and well organized. Lucero, an administrator, helped me book the tours. She was in constant contact with me, advising me of changes and making the reservations. It is a first class outfit and they made our visit to San Cristobal memorable.

I don't recall the tour company we used, but I think they all do the same thing. You have a boat ride through a pretty great canyon, definitely worth the trip.

The amazing views, natural and fresh, good attention, restaurant to delight the palate with regional food.

Fue recorrido muy excepcional, un día para reconocer y recordar un poco del antes. Más ir acompañado de una persona para su primera experiencia en el lugar visitado.

La chica que me contacto se porto muy amable y me comunicó podían pasar hasta 20 min. más tarde porque van recogiendo gente en sus hoteles, pero el chofer llego 50 min. tarde y fuimos los primeros en subir, o sea que tardamos más tiempo en lo que pasaba por los demás. Cuando visitamos los miradores fue super rápido porque evidentemente llevabamos más de 1 hora de retraso, despues del paseo en lancha llegamos a Chiapa de Corzo y solo nos dio 1 hora para estar ahi, fue muy poco el tiempo, nos menciono que nos veriamos a las 4:30 de la tarde y cuando eran 4:20 ya me estaba mandando mensajes para saber en donde estaba, y enseguida me llamo, para irnos si salimos muy puntuales porque se ve que él tenía mucha prisa por regresar.
