We did the Mount Titlis tour today with Best of Switzerland Tours, and it was a fantastic experience from beginning to end — made even better by our incredible guide, Yancey. We departed Zurich at 9:30am and drove about an hour to Lucerne, where we had roughly an hour of free time to explore the old town, take photos, and see the main sights. It was a brief stop, but perfect for getting a feel for the city. From there, we continued another hour to the base of Mount Titlis and began the ascent. The gondola ride offered amazing views of the Swiss Alps, and the second rotating gondola up to the summit was a unique highlight. At the top, we had two hours to enjoy everything: the chairlift, the cliff-walk hanging bridge, the ice caves, and the panoramic viewpoints. Lunch at the lodge was a bit pricey — typical for Switzerland — but the views made it worth it. Despite a foggy morning in Zurich, the summit weather was clear and beautiful, which made the scenery even more stunning. The bus was comfortable, the pacing was smooth, and the group size (around 35 people) felt easy to manage. But truly, Yancey elevated the entire experience. He guided seamlessly in both English and Spanish, shared helpful and interesting information without overwhelming us, and struck the perfect balance between leading the group and giving everyone space to explore on their own. He was kind, patient, and genuinely enthusiastic about helping — even offering to take photos for anyone who wanted them. You could tell he cared about making sure everyone had a great day, and it showed in everything he did. A top-tier guide and a huge asset to this tour. Tips for future travelers: • Go to the ice cave first. Most of the group instinctively heads toward the Ice Flyer and skywalk right away, which makes those areas crowded. Going to the ice cave first gives you a quiet, more private experience, and then you can circle back once the crowds spread out. • Wear proper boots. You’ll be walking through snow, ice, and cold conditions — solid footwear with good traction makes the day much easier and safer. Overall, this was an outstanding tour and one of the best ways to experience the Alps from Zurich. Highly recommend — and if you’re lucky enough to get Yancey as your guide, you’re in for an exceptional day.

Well organized. Love our time to explore in Lucern by ourselves. We visited several churches and Christmas markets. The ride to the top of the mountain was amazing and the ice cave and cliff were great. Our weather was sleet and snow but still enjoyed ourselves

We were sent up Mt Titlis without our tourist guide and we were somehow lost where to get started . We missed the hanging bridge which was part of the tour and missed the outside experience where you hanged on a moving suspension. I think missing these 2 experiences , that they should give us a refund! I could have bought my own ticket to this excursion for lesser money . The tour to Luzern is also on your own and you have to walk back to the bus. You can easily get distracted with the time frame they gave you. I was disappointed.

Very comfortable, safe bus ride with Carlos while Cecille informed us of what we were seeing and where to look. Very informative and impressive that she spoke in English and Spanish so everyone was included

The tour guide Eli gave us a brief history lesson on the way up to Lucerne. He was friendly and professional; so was Madeline. The bus driver was safe and we made the trip there and back without incident or concern. We were disappointed to learn that the Ice Flyer was down ( we were told as we pulled into the parking lot). For November, Mt. Titlis Ice Cave was very crowded. The cave itself was roped off so I think we only got to see half of the experience. It would be nice to have an audio tour or guide inside to tell you about the sculptures. All in all, the day was a good experience.

We had a lovely day in Lucerne and Mount Titlis and were extremely lucky to have clear weather. The views are incredible and absolutely worth every penny. Bernie, our guide was great, friendly and clear in her instructions.

A fantastic experience from the bus trip to the top of Titlis and back. Raphael and his team were so friendly and helpful and made the trip one to remember. The bus was comfortable and the driver was superb in getting us there and back safely. My family said it was their best holiday experience on our trip.
