Salzburg: Iconic Sound of Music Movie Magic Journey

It had many great stops but felt like we could have spent more time where we could take pictures of filming location in the city.

Kylie was an excellent host and very informative. The whole morning was full of experiences and gave us a other reason to watch the film again

This tour of highlights was a morning well spent. The guide was enthusiastic, if a little hard to understand. The views, despite some foggy weather were beautiful and music and movie memories nostalgic. We were very happy that we went.

Can the Original Sound of Music Tour from Salzburg be as good as the hype? Oh Yes! I've never seen the film (Did a 2 minute plot scan on-line), then it's over to Simon (from Northumberland) to deliver a mixture of info, fun and sillyness. He should do stand-up! We printed the tickets on line before we left the UK which was fine. Otherwise the ticket kiosk is easy to find. The 4 hour tour ran to schedule and covered both city and countryside filming locations. We chose the morning tour for what it's worth.

Fantastic tour could not have asked for anything better. We got to see far more sites for the filming of sound of music than I could have hoped for in between stops. The tour guide played clips from the movie. That really helped us to relate. And remember where the scene was from my favorite was seeing the church where the marriage took place between Maria and the captain. Highly recommend not to be missed. If you're in salisburg

A lot of time on bus, kind of boring. Guide should have included some video clips and/or photos of the original movie. Maybe trivia game on way up to alps?

This guide was amazing. You get driven around to a lot of places and she gives you a lot of history of the area. Then you get to do a song along! There is a lot of riding in the bus to get to the the filming locations, but if you’re a fan of the movie you’ll really love it. I’ve never seen the movie and was there with my partner who loves it and even I had a blast. Seeing the cathedral alone is worth the whole trip.

Guide was great. Driver was fantastic. Tour is too long. Just skip the church and make it a 3 hour tour. And charge less, it’s super expensive.

Our guide Jose was wonderful. He made the tour very interesting and a lot of fun. One of the best guides ever.

We had such a lovely time! Jose was very helpful and knew lots about the movie and the real Von Trapp stories. Our bus driver was excellent and the views were stunning 🤩 the bonus for me was the bus sing-a-long!
