Transformative Egypt: 9-Day Private Nile & Pyramid Journey

Today I visited the Karnak Temple complex followed by Luxor Temple, and I can’t say enough good things about our guide, Mena Oweda. He was extremely well informed and clearly knows Egyptian history inside and out, but what really stood out was how thoughtfully he shared it. He didn’t just recite facts; he added context and interesting details that made the temples feel alive and meaningful rather than overwhelming. Everything about the day was smooth and well organized. Mena was punctual, attentive, and very personable, always checking in to make sure the pace was comfortable and that questions were answered. He managed the timing perfectly at both sites, which made the experience feel relaxed rather than rushed. The driver Shenoda also deserves mention: courteous, attentive, and professional, with a clean, well-maintained car. Everyone was on time, and the logistics were seamless from start to finish. If you’re visiting Luxor and want a guide who is knowledgeable, organized, and genuinely pleasant to spend the day with, I would highly recommend Mena Oweda.

Overall, it was a pretty good trip for our family. We visited last week of Nov to first week of December. Everything was taken care of very well. The guides/drivers showed up on time as anticipated and are quite knowledgeable. We also got upgraded to a Luxury ship on our Nile cruise at no charge which is very nice. The hotel at Cairo is also reasonably good. I would advise Viator to also offer 5 star class of hotels for a higher payment as an option for an enhanced experience. As part of the package , our hotel was a 4 star hotel per Egyptian standards. For fellow travelers, I would suggest choosing a 5 star hotel in Cairo and a Luxury ship for Nile cruise for a great experience.

We just finished the tours for day 1 in Cairo/Giza and had a great day seeing the pyramids with our tour guide Mina! He is very knowledgeable and has made sure our day was enjoyable!

The visit to the pyramids were truly memorable with our guide Mina ensuring we were able to see everything. He also explained everything to us in great detail to ensure we truly appreciated the historic marvels we saw. Our driver Waleed also ensured we got to all places in time in the Cairo traffic.

His service allowed us to travel with complete confidence and peace of mind. 4. Day 9 – Cairo: Nice Tour representative Youssef and the Cairo driver, who kindly met us at the Cairo airport after midnight and brought us to the hotel safely and smoothly, again giving us great confidence and no worries. We sincerely appreciate the dedication and wonderful service provided by Nice Tour throughout our trip.

The guide( Kyrillos) was very knowledgeable and shared fascinating information about Egypt’s history. Everything was perfectly organized and ran smoothly according to schedule, without any delays.
