Travel back in time with this excursion to Ephesus from Izmir. You will tour the vestiges of one of the most surprising ancient cities in the Eastern Mediterranean. We will pick you up at the indicated hotel at 8:00 am and travel in a comfortable minibus to Ephesus, an ancient city located on the Ionia coast. After a trip of an hour and a half, we will reach the site of Ephesus, one of the great tourist attractions in Turkey, since it is one of the best preserved Greco-Roman cities in the country. Once there, we will take a guided tour of Ephesus to see some of its monumental jewels, such as the Library of Celsus, one of the most luxurious bibliographic archives of the Roman Empire in the Eastern Mediterranean. Nearby we will find the Roman Theater. Did you know that it had a capacity for 24,000 people? It is impressive! After the visit of Ephesus, we take a lunch. On the other hand, you will also have traditional shopping opportunities for jewelry, leather, or ceramic centers.

Amazing tour with Alpi. This was my second Ephesus tour and I learned so much new information. Alpi was very knowledgeable and personable. If you go, ask for him. Highly recommend!

Erman was a fantastic guide. He was very knowledgeable and answered everyone's questions very well. We had a wonderful time learning about the history of Ephesus and exploring the ruins. We only wish we could have spent more time there! (Erman did take more time going through the site and explaining the history than some of the other tour operators, who seemed to rush through.) The other stops along the way (a ceramics studio and pomegranate food store) were interesting but too pricey for us personally.

Yes, it was wonderful learning about history. Exceeded expectations. It was well preserved and restoration work is commendable. I would recommend this. It is a long tour, lots of working with very little toilet breaks. So prepare for that. Erman was great and very knowledgeable.

Armand our guide was on time, amicable and carried out remarkable visit of Ephesus. Very knowledgeable. Bravo!!! He is local and understands History of his country and of the region deeply with abundant cultural details.

Our Ephesus tour from Izmir was truly exceptional, largely because of our remarkable guide, Alpe. His narration brought the ancient city and the House of Mary to life with clarity, depth, and passion. Every explanation was detailed yet easy to understand, showing his mastery of the region’s history. We also appreciated the professionalism of his teammate, Erman, who supported the tour smoothly from start to finish. Together, they created an experience that was educational, engaging, and memorable. We felt fortunate to have guides whose knowledge and storytelling were second to none. We would gladly take this tour again—or join any other tour in the region—if Alpe is leading it.

Efes is amazing! The place brings you back to the past and our guide Alpi just made it even more real! He has the full knowledge of the region and explains everything very well. I highly recommend taking the tour with him. Worth mentioning the driver was also great!

We had a great and insightful experience for the Visit of Ephesus and the Temple of Artemis with our Guide Alpy who gave us great explanation about the whole visit. I fully recomend Alpy as guide, always cheerful, clear english spoken, detailed visit and incredible knowledge on the ancient history. Thank you we had an EXCELLENT Tour. Even our driver was very kind and smooth on driving.
