An excellent coach trip from Salzburg to the Eagle's Nest with a useful stop at Berchtesgaden on the way back. The guide spoke very good English and was really knowledgeable. The visit gave us plenty of time to see everything of interest and to have a light lunch in Berchtesgaden. There is a risk with this trip though. The decision to run it from Salzburg on any given day is only made 15 minutes before the starting time of 8:45. Therefore you are forced to travel to Salzburg and bear the cost of train fares, for example, if you are travelling into Salzburg for the trip. There is a chance you will find the trip is not running in which case the company will offer you another trip on that day, or a refund. It would be much better if the company would confirm the previous day by text or email that the trip is or is not running.

We had an amazing time! Our guide, Gad, was very knowledgeable. He was very funny and kept everyone entertained. The views from Eagle's Nest and Berchtesgaden were stunning. Definitey recommend this tour!

The tour to Eagle's Nest and Berchtesgaden is amazing, and was one of the highlights of our trip! We had a wonderful tour guide who shared his historical knowledge with us. We were fortunate to have clear visibility when we were at Eagle's Nest and to enjoy a magnificent view of the Alps. The journey to Eagle's nest is an experience in itself, and the building and history that's provided there is interesting. The tour gave you enough time to spend at the top, and then plenty of time to relax in Berchtesgaden...a very beautiful village. Quite a tour!

It was wonderful!!!! Mirko the guide was exceptional! Explain everything with knowledge and enthusiasm. He was a pleasure to be with. Alex the driver is a very good driver, we felt safe in the bus. Thank you!

The tour guide did not give us any time to go to the Document Center which to me was the most important part of the tour. The view from atop the mountain is nice but nice views can be seen in other places. Our tour guide talked too much just to fill every silent moment but it was a repeat of what she had just said. I am so disappointed in this tour. I took a tour with Bob’s and what a difference! Bob’s gave me more than my money’s worth in an intimate setting. Bob’s tour guide was more knowledgeable and personable than the Panoramic Tour Company guide.

We had a great sunny day. Not sure I’d do it on a cloudy or foggy day. We also ditched the return trip and took a local bus to the Konigssee which was fantastic. Great day, wonderful guide. Very knowledgeable.

Great trip for a first time to the Eagles Nest. Really enjoyed having a bus bring us to and from with an entertaining guide.

Mitch was phenomenal. Very engaging and made the experience easy to understand as well as entertaining. During the bus ride up, the microphone made it easy to hear and understand all the history before we actually made it to the eagle’s nest. Absolutely breathtaking at the top and they gave plenty of time to explore as well. Would definitely recommend!

Mitch was a great tour guide and this tour is worth every single penny. I do want to note that we had 64 ppl on our tour (even though it says it'll cap at 50 ppl). Another reviewer noted this as well, so clearly this is a regular thing. I suggest you fix that. It doesn't make you look good as a company, and you don't have to lie about the cap. The tour is fantastic enough. You're just losing people's trust from the reviews. Relatedly, the group splits into 2 groups on different buses to get to Eagle's Nest. Another reviewer mentioned this and how they were scared they missed out on any extra commentary from the guide. Just want to say that it really doesn't matter. I was on the bus with the tour guide and he doesn't talk at all. We just ride up, so it makes it fair for the other group too. So no need to worry about that. I was definitely nervous as the ride up was entirely foggy and I thought the view would be terrible and obstructed. But it was amazing! Yes, there were tons of clouds, but look at these pictures! Just keep an eye out on the weather for the day you plan on taking the tour because you may not be as lucky as we did. Another reviewer said this tour wasn't worth it because Eagle's Nest's main thing is a restaurant, which made me realize ppl have very different experiences and never to take just 1 review on its face. I simply wish we had more time at Eagle's Nest. We had less than 1 hour there and then we were taken to a little cute town for lunch (ppl only had 45min). I would prefer eliminating the trip to that town and having more time at Eagle's Nest honestly. I recommend packing a lunch so you can spend time exploring the little town rather than feeling rushed to eat at a restaurant. I did that and heard a lot of ppl from my group complain about wasting time at a restaurant. Overall, it's worth it. I got recommended this tour from another traveler and I recommended it to someone else I met and they also loved it.

This is a wonderful experience. Jose our guide was very knowledgeable and made our experience so much better. Evil our driver was great in getting us in and out on time. Have taken a few tours with Viator in other countries and have always been very happy either them, never disappointed.
