The library houses a vast collection of books and manuscripts, as well as museums, art galleries, and wide spaces. The Library has educational and cultural programs which make it a captivating destination for those interested in history, literature, and learning.

The Library itself was fine but getting there from ship and getting back to ship was difficult. The driver was very nice, but he did not have a sign with our name and did not make himself obvious at the port or at pick up. Some of this was due to a government official motorcade but it was still unnerving for us. Alexandria is very congested and we thought we were stranded. Again not all of this was driver's fault and he was very apologetic but situation could have been handled better. He also spoke very limited English which added to the confusion. In addition description of tour made it seem like we would have a private English speaking guide at library, but it was actually a large group tour.

This library is simply incredible! Definitely take the free one hour tour which will give you an excellent overview. We have never been so impressed by a library. Although the ancient library is no longer this one should be up there as a wonder. Wished we had more time to just browse around. You can easily spend a day here and they have several collections for an additional fee.

This is a beautiful modern Library / Museum / is one of the largest libraries of the ancient world . This Library is a classroom and a wealth of ancient knowledge. It is adjacent to the University of Alexandria so,lots of students have easy access to gather valuable information. . Exhibits include an entire section dedicated president Sadat . I think To Really appreciate its vast space you need at least two days or minimum ones day with guide.

The library was amazing. So much history within and insightful engineering in the building! Our driver was wonderful and added to the wonderful experience.
