Become acquainted with the Dutch countryside during this 8-hour day tour with your guide through the villages of Zaanse Schans, Edam, Volendam and Marken. Marvel at the famed windmills of Zaanse Schans as you learn of their significance to the region. Visit a clog workshop where they will carve us live this typical shoe. Take a free time to photograph the impressive landscapes. Visit Edam, a World Heritage Site and whose old town is one of the most beautiful in Holland. Enjoy in a cheese factory, where they will show us how cheese is made. This tour includes an extensive tasting. Lose yourself amidst the striking wooden houses and a maze of narrow streets in Volendam, the former fishing village. Enjoy some free time to taste the local fish. The Volendam's cod and herring are delicious! Then, travel to the old island of Marken enjoing the amazing views around you. This historic place remains well-preserved to this day. Finally we will return to Amsterdam.

Good trip The Guide Bear was Awesome with all the details Zaanse Schans wind mills , great palace to visit as well as the Cheese factory and Tasting . and when in Voldeldam make sure to Visit Peppernuts Holland , they have a great collection

Good tour outside the city. The cheese and shoe demonstrations were campy but the locations were interesting and worth the visit

Bea was a great tour guide and Carla got us out of a traffic jam so we arrived back as scheduled! It’s a long day with 5 different stops but you get to see a bit of life outside of the city as Bea gives you good information along the ride. She also does a good job of keeping the group on schedule in spite of some people not minding the meeting times. I’m glad we did this tour and would recommend it.

The guide is very important to the enjoyment of the tour. We loved our guide. She was very good- lots of interesting information plus she had a wonderful personality.

Very knowledgeable guide. We got to see 4 great places in one day. Enjoyed the Cheese and Clog making demonstrations.

A great experience. The guide Bea is exceptional and very friendly. She has excellent knowledge of the history of the places visited and made the trip very memorable. Thank you Bea and the driver as well who is very helpful.

Our leader was very knowledgeable but his pace …. Didn’t go slow enough to take some pictures, and for some of us it was impossible to keep up, Also we didn’t go to one of villages and no notification that said it would be missed. Very disappointing

These three villages are so quaint and beautiful, it’s like you are stepping back in time. Spending the day going to them was relaxing and enjoyable.
