Montserrat Majesty: Half-Day Sacred Mountain & Monastery

Excellent tour! Montserrat is breathtaking with its view and history. Worthwhile those who enjoy history and vistas. Also, Montserrat is one of the few places in Barcelona that has many restrooms!😂 We enjoyed the ‘Alone Time’ part of the tour to explore Montserrat on our own. We were very fortunate to get Vincent as our guide. He contacted ahead of time , to introduce himself and confirm pick up time and location. On the day of the tour, he picked us promptly on time. We proceeded to pick up other guests. Vincent was very friendly, entertaining and great sense of humor. He was very knowledgeable on most topics, and engaged with all guests. He was very knowledgeable about Barcelona and Montserrat, and shared very interesting information and history. Also a big shout to the driver Joaquin for his safe driving. He was just as friendly!

Had such a wonderful day touring Montserrat. The ride up was absolutely beautiful and Gaspar was so knowledgeable about all the sites we drove by. Once there he took us around the monastery and gave us a great explanation of what we were seeing. Such a breathtaking place, thanks Gaspar.

Vincent was very friendly and easy going. I had a lot of fun and the views were very nice. Transport was good and quick, Vincent talked with us a lot and made it feel so quick.

I booked this tour for a couple trip with my boyfriend and Vincent is a 11/10 tour guide! Excellent information about the area and so much great tips for our rest of stay in Barcelona:) We felt so lucky to be in the tour group led by him and strongly recommend!

It was a nice visit to Monteserrat. Jave guided us well through the tour and it was good interacting with the small group.

It was a memorable and beautiful experience seeing the black Madonna , mama Mary again. This time we learned more about the history and legend about the black Madonna and the Monserrat history . Our guide is a fabulous and very helpful and so knowledgeable about the place where we visited. Funny guy too and we enjoyed his company. That’s the guy who help us understand the history of Monserrat. Javi, the funny guy.

This was a half day trip to Montserrat. It's offered with a morning or afternoon pickup. Ramon made all the difference of making it a wonderful experience. He was engaged throughout and shared some good information. His flexibility in terms of timing was appreciated as well. Make sure to bring a jacket - particularly in the winter - as it can be chilly in the area.

We enjoyed our trip to Montserrat with Mateus. He picked us up at our hotel and drove us about one hour up to the monastery. He gave us a great tour with plenty of information. He then let us tour the church and grounds on our own. We especially enjoyed the art museum. It has some spectular paintings. It was a small group with just eight of us in a van.
