Genoa's Essential 1-Hr Journey: Panoramic City Discovery!

This was a very complete overview of the city of Genoa. We hit all the attractions, and saw the different statues, parks and Piazzas. There are two lines, the blue line in the red line, one is for historical and one is for coastal. They both went on the same ticket. And they seem to overlap one another two in certain areas.

+ This was our first foray into European cruise ports, and it was a consistent way in which we got to know many more cities along our trip. - The pickup location was unclear when booked online.

Had to wait over half an hour for bus to arrive as seemed to have only one bus on, and the driver drove it round the city like a Formula 1 driver.. she gave you no time to see anything, dare not get off as it would be ages before another one arrived.

Fun trip around town…..loved the double decker bus. The bus was easy to find in a big red color. Very safe .

One journey ok (young lady driver), one terrible (middle aged man). He was regularly slamming on his breaks and pulled off before an elderly lady sat down causing her to nearly fall over. Not a lot of info and bus went too quickly past the areas being highlighted. Not good sorry to say

Francesca was our driver. Incredible. If you get to have her drive you, you’re in the best hands. Marta the guide was fantastic. Explained how we were stuck in traffic due to a bicycle race. Now the weird part. We took the red and blue lines. It appeared there was only one red bus and multiple blue lines. Frustrating as we waited for almost an hour for a red bus. Also, our driver on the red bus needed Francesca to train him. He drove like he was late for dinner. Heavy on the brakes, jerky, just overall not good. The onboard descriptions did not do Genoa justice. They were incomplete and played baroque until a snippet of information was provided. Either Genoa is really boring or the monologue could be improved. Marta could probably make this monologue better. I think it might be better to consider making one line rather than 2.

Worth the money and has two options coastal or historic route that intertwines at places so you can see all of both routes . We got on at the cruise terminal however was given no guidance to where to find either of the start points this was very frustrating in 33 degree heat . After some walking we found one if the bus stops clearly marked however not all stops have a dedicated sightseeing stand and can be merged in to other boards .

Was great experience I would recommend it to everyone, had a great time in two hours. Covered most of the important areas and learned new and interesting things

We had difficulty finding where to be picked up from the port. It was nice to see so many places with the narration. The onboard personnel were nice and helpful. The region was experiencing a heat wave so we only hopped off once.

Very organized bus with a very nice helpful conductor, and guide she gave us headsets and was very helpful answering questions. Other than being very hot, it was wonderful.I’m
