Breathtaking Road to Hana: Exclusive Small Group Journey

Heavenly was a wonderful guide. She was very knowledgeable and made the day long trip very entertaining. She had lots of facts and fun stories with her experiences. Her passion about Mauii amazing . She is an awesome driver and would recommend her.

Thomas was the best! He handled the road like a pro and always made sure everyone was having a great time and having something to eat. He made sure to get to know everyone personally!

The pick up part of the trip was very chaotic and he was being very creepy towards women - I almost cancelled my tour because of it. Our driver Thomas was rude on the phone with their counterparts and was yelling at them - that was very unprofessional of him to do around all of us. He also kept making decisions without consulting with any of us. Additionally, the description says that it’s for a small group tour, but we ended up picking up 2 more people because the other driver overbooked. Again, another decision he made without consulting with any of us. The pick up alone took OVER 2 hrs - that was honestly so ridiculous. The stories he was telling us were educational; however, the way he was telling stories about women were very demeaning. At some point, one of the gentleman said something about the comments he was making about women in the past and present. We only made 3 stops for the 12 hrs we were gone and they were: the black sand beach for 1 hr, one small and one medium water fall that was 60 degrees cold (not the same as the picture shown), and the aunty Sandy’s banana bread house. The drive there was not terrible at all. Yes there are very narrow roads, but if you know how to drive, you can do it yourself. I feel like I could’ve driven myself there and saved a lot money. I also feel like I could’ve explored more of Hana if I would’ve went by myself. The tour itself felt rush. I hope this feedback helps someone make a decision if you’re undecided about booking it. I also would like for Jay, the owner, to coach Thomas about the comments he makes about women and how he acts around women, his professionalism, and consulting with the clients before making a decision for everyone. The customers are the reason why you have a business, you as the owner, should make sure that they are being well taken care of and feels comfortable the whole time.

We had Sean as our tour guide and driver. He was very knowledgeable, helpful, and considerate during the 10-hour day trip. We saw beautiful views, swam in the waterfalls, and got souvenirs. Highly recommend this experience!

Justin was a good driver, we had a diverse age group on our small bus. The kids held us up at a stop but driver made clear the expectations. Ordered gluten free meal and didn’t know that was not possible til I got served lunch. Overall, good trip and driver.

Didn’t think the road tour Hāna was worth the $400+ dollars. My wife and I expected our driver to give factual history on Hāna and Maui. Instead she talked about her family etc. very disappointing. There really is nothing at Hāna. I guess that’s why the trip is called the “road to Hāna”.
