Savor Thessaloniki: Unforgettable Market Food & Culture

This is a must do!! We learned so much about the history and culture of Thessaloniki and the food was absolutely incredible. We couldn’t eat it all! We are incredibly blessed to have Helen as a tour guide. She is fantastic!

A lot of stops and really nice tastings in authentic local places. The guide was really nice attentive and informative. For us the starting hour was a bit too early.. wish it was further away from breakfast so we could enjoy more of the food. So avoid breakfast that day..

We originally booked the Mt. Olympus and Dion trip and went up the mountain but the weather was very bad due to the storm so our Guide (Yllanis) had to cancel the rest of the trip. He was very kind and considerate to offer another free tour in the next days. Because of this we had to change plans and took the food tasting tour with Eleni. We have enjoyed the experience a lot. Both guides were very accommodating and has shared a lot of interesting facts about the history and culture of Thessaloniki. We are very happy with the service, we will definitely book again with this company if given the chance

Our guide Helen was amazing. She gave us the perfect mix of interesting history and culture alongside the descriptions of local food. It was a great way to tour the city with a local. I don't even love food but I loved this tour! I definitely recommend!

We enjoyed our food tour with Helen. She was knowledgeable and friendly! It was fun to walk around the markets and learn more about the history of food culture in Thessaloniki. There were a lot of sweets on the tour and we felt that there wasn't enough of a savory element. The description of the tour said we would get to try traditional pies, but sadly we did not. We have been on many food tours and we usually leave stuffed, but unfortunately after this tour we were still quite hungry as we had not eaten breakfast or lunch (only small snacks). We got to leave with some leftovers from the tour (grapes and olives and sweets) which was nice.

It was a very interesting and pleasant tour, the guide was a lovely lady who made sure I was at ease all the while. The food is exceptional and the market atmosphere rather unique.
