The best travel company in Peru. I have used other companies for other adventures and this one really out does them all. They went above and beyond any expectations I had. Cesar was An amazing guide and had so much knowledge to share and his love for his job is what makes the experience so special. Segundino is the best cook and creates meals that will blow your mind. I’ve never seen so much effort be put in to make an experience so memorable. 10/10

Segundino (the chef) and Caesar ensured we had a good time. Was a tough hike but spirits remained high! There were only 4 of us hikers on this trip, and it was a nice crew! Good food, good food, good vibes.

Edwin truly took our Peru trip to the next level. With clear communication prior to departure, experience on trail, and genuine knowledge of Machu Picchu, Edwin delivered. The entire trip went off without a hitch. Incredible views, great food, and good company are in-store.

We had an amazing trip with Alpaca Expedition. Food, service, porters, nature and guide (Edwin) 10/10 on all fronts! The stages were varied and perfect for us! We’ve had a lot of fun and recommend this to anyone visiting Cusco

We actually did the 5D/5N, which was worth it to start early and have Humantay all to ourselves. I joined solo and we were a small group of 4. We hiked at our own pace, but made stops throughout the days to take breaks together. No one was left behind, even if it meant taking a horse or car for a portion. Everything was so well organized; it was nice to be able to only worry about hiking and then to have amazing food made by our chef and have our accomodations ready when we were tired at the end of the day. Thank you to our chef Marquito! Our guide Fernando was great company, he always had the biggest smile and taught us so much along the way. He hiked with the last hiker and never made anyone feel rushed. The experience wouldn't have been the same without the whole team: the guide, chef, porters, horseman. After so many long days and amazing views together, we all agreed that this was one of, if not the best trekking experiences we'd had. We're all in touch and hoping to meet up again in the future for more trekking.

Our hiking started by transferring us into the glass cabanas organized by Alpaca expedition. The stay at glass cabanas was very comforting and relaxing. Our tour guide ( Fernando) was very proactive and sportive enough to introduce us to the cooking staff and horse man. The food was very delicious and consistently cooked everyday in a timely manner. After the night stay at glass cabanas, we started our hike from the soraypampa campsite to Humantay Lagoon. The hike was very challenging but our tour guide was very positive minded and proactive in supporting our journey. After exploring the humantay lagoon, we hiked down to the lunch spot, where the helpers and chef had the food based on our dietary preferences, which was very kind and welcoming. After the lunch, I had severe toe swelling and I was not able to hike at a regular pace. Our tour guide Fernando organized a horse rental to facilitate my hiking journey to the top of Salkantay pass. After we started the descent, I had to hike in the dark but our tour guide accompanied me throughout the hike down to the tenant. I was worried for a while, but the tour guide carried my day pack to help me hike down. This experience was very adventurous. The third day, as my toe swelling increased , the tour guide organized stay at LUCMABAMBA coffee farm for affordable pricing and car ride to HIDROELECTRICA. This helped me regain my energy to explore the Machu peechu on the 5th day. Overall, our tour guide accompanied us throughout the hiking trip and explained every details of Inca civilization and history behind the Machu Peechu. His patience throughout the journey is very impressive. Best tour guide I had ever been around.

Highly recommend this trip to anyone looking for challenging and well organized trip. The tour guide Fernando coordinated everything from the start to end and we didn’t have to worry about a single thing. Instructions were clear and explained the significance of each place. Chef Marquito cooked us amazing food each day. Overall the experience was fun and all the staff were professional.

I did the Salkantay track 5 day/5 night trek and it was amazing, I enjoyed every minute. It was a very rich experience of challenging walks through the mountains, 3 delicious meals a day cooked by a chef showcasing a variety of local food and dishes, amazing scenery, the opportunity to meet new people and make new friends and interaction with local people, local culture, local flaura and fauna and numerous other trekking groups. The scenery is beautiful, lots of photo opportunities, the food is a highlight of the trip and everything except your day pack is carried by horses/mules or porters. Alpaca Expeditions were very organised and always on time with pick ups, drop offs, accomodation and the Machu Picchu experience. Our guide Manuel was knowledge, friendly, spoke great English and looked after us every step of the way. It’s a challenging walk at times, especially day one, so make sure you’re fit and well. I highly recommend and I hope to return for another trek in the future. Thank you.
