Breathtaking Salkantay Trek: Exclusive Machu Picchu Expedition

I did the 5-day Salkantay trek and honestly couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Everything was taken care of, which was especially nice when it came to Machu Picchu. All the entrance logistics were included, and we had our guide Romario from the hike accompanied us there as well. Romario took a lot of time to explain the history and details, and he was always happy to answer questions, which made the visit even more special. The food was another big highlight. Having two warm meals a day on a trek like this felt like pure luxury, and everything was super tasty. Huge thanks to Alejandro and his team Beto and Jonas for the great cooking and overall care along the way. I’d definitely recommend this trek to anyone who wants an unforgettable experience without having to worry about the organization.

This was hands down one of the best experiences of my trip — a solid 10/10 and I would recommend it to anyone considering the Salkantay Trek. Everything was incredibly well organised from start to finish. The food was outstanding: great variety, always incredibly tasty, and with vegetarian options available at every meal. Meals were buffet-style and generous — I genuinely never left the table even slightly hungry. On top of that, there were hot teas available throughout the trek, along with plenty of water and snacks, which made a huge difference after long hiking days. The company provided duffel bags to store extra belongings, making the trekking days much more comfortable and stress-free. The accommodation exceeded expectations — usually warm, comfortable, and private, which was amazing after full days on the trail. Our guide, Romario, was absolutely brilliant. He was highly knowledgeable, funny, kind, and incredibly helpful throughout the trek. He was also very understanding of different fitness levels, allowing faster hikers to go ahead while ensuring no one felt rushed or uncomfortable if they needed to go slower. That approach created a really positive and supportive group dynamic. The views were simply stunning. Seeing Salkantay Mountain up close was incredibly impressive, and Humantay Lake was just as breathtaking as everyone says. The trail itself was a joy to walk — easy, scenic paths through mountains, forests, and valleys, and never overly busy, which made the experience feel peaceful and immersive. Our group was 7 people, which felt like the perfect size — small enough to feel personal, but still social and fun. Overall, this trek exceeded every expectation: amazing scenery, fantastic food, excellent organisation, comfortable accommodation, and an outstanding guide. If you’re thinking about doing the Salkantay Trek, this company — and Romario especially — will make it an unforgettable experience.

Salkantay Trek was an excellent excursion! Each day held some surprises from our guides, the chef (food was off the charts), the porters. The entire team worked hard to keep us happy, fed, warm, encouraged, and helped us achieve our goals each day. Nil and Sergio were an outstanding team! Most knowledgeable! This trek exceeded my expectations! Our guides Nil and Sergio were very knowledgeable and by the end, we were all friends. The food was a highlight, with every meal being different and nourishing thanks to our awesome chef, CC. From the cold peak of Salkantay, to camping in the cloud forest overlooking Machu Picchu, this trek was beautiful and worth the effort. Be prepared for foot blisters and aching knees though ;)

Had an amazing experience with Nil & Sergio on this tour! They went out of their way to make sure everyone was having a good time and everything was organised perfectly. The meals cooked by CC were delicious and there was always more than enough food and such a variety every day. Overall , couldn’t have asked for a better Salkantay trek!

Our tour lead by Nil and Sergio was amazing! This experience will be something I will never forget and Nil and Sergio along with the rest of our tour group made it fun, educational and supportive. Could not ask for a better team. Cc our chef cooked the most incredible meals! We were absolutely spoilt!

We (3 guys) were in a group lead by Romario. IT WAS FANTASTIC! He is a great guide and a good human in general if that makes sense. He is very relatable, and fixes any occurring problems with ease. Very close to nature that guy and in harmony with all things. The tour itself was fun, the landscape stunning! I can recommend this tour! The toilets were ok, but bring your own toilet paper just to be sure :) We had the option to visit the hot springs, too, also something I can warmly recommend if you like these kind of things. Just enjoy!
