Was excited to join this walking tour to experience the wonderful food of Iceland. It exceeded expectations. We had a really nice group from around the world. Mimir was our guide and he was so enjoyable throughout the journey. He shared a lot about himself, his culture, city and most importantly our cuisine. We sampled some great dishes, a few drinks, the world famous hot dog and even the dreaded fermented shark. A must do experience!

David was a fantastic tour guide. This was our favorite thing to do in Reykjavík. The portions were generous and the history was rich.

I am writing this right after the tour and I’m stuffed full! It was great, native Icelandic food and we went to 5 different stops. Our tour guide Lenny was amazing and very knowledgeable. He made our group feel very comfortable and welcomed.

This was a great walking and eating tour thru downtown. Thor was our guide and had great stories on city history as well as the background on the various tasty dishes. Fish, lamb in various dishes, and fermented shark, followed by ice cream. And of course a hot dog. We really enjoyed ourselves

Such an amazing food tour! Our guide Ben was an absolute delight and kept everyone laughing, included, and informed. He had a lot of local tips beyond food as well! I usually try to do a food tour in most new cities that I travel to, especially towards the beginning of my trip. I find it's a great way to get an idea of restaurants/vendors I may want to go back to, what the local food scene is like, what I want more of, etc. Some food tours are on the very cheap end and are more of a "tasting" menu, where you get tiny bits everywhere you go. This food tour is NOT that and we were so impressed! Three of the restaurants we went to gave us multiple entrees to try- all of them delicious. We also had a full hot dog (that is apparently Bill Clinton approved- lol. Fun fact for us Americans!). All of the food was superb and it's so fun to get to know the other tour-goers, love a group of international food lovers! Walking from restaurant to restaurant also seemed to be designed in a way that took us by many landmarks and gave us a chance to get a sense of our whereabouts downtown. The tour restaurants were all so cozy and beautiful, espcially now during Christmastime, and we were writing down all sorts of places we walked by that looked equally inviting. Definitely recommend!

Dagur, aka Day, was the perfect guide for our food walk. He was insightful and energetic, and even though the weather was quite poor, his enthusiasm really brightened the whole tour. We really enjoyed the tour as we ran around the city in the high winds and cold rain of December sampling great food all along the way, including the fermented shark. The restaurants were all fantastic, and they highlighted the Icelandic cuisine in both traditional and elevated forms.

What a wonderful experience! We got to try such a great variety of local Icelandic foods! Everything was delicious and it gave us a great snap shot of what Iceland has to offer. Ben was an amazing tour guide and host! If you can ask for him- do it! This came highly recommended to me and we will certainly be passing it on to our friends! Skál!

This food tour in Iceland was truly one of the highlights of my trip. Every stop was delicious, unique, and so thoughtfully chosen. Our tour guide Thor was incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, and passionate about Icelandic culture and cuisine. You can tell he genuinely loved sharing the stories behind each dish, and he made everyone in the group feel welcome and engaged. The pace was perfect, the group size was comfortable, and the whole experience felt personal rather than “touristy.” If you’re visiting Iceland, do not miss this food tour — it’s the perfect way to taste the country and connect with a truly fantastic guide. Highly recommend!
