Xavi arrived promptly (actually early) to the place where we were staying, and from then on was friendly, extremely informative and a very attentive guide. He also gave us some great tips on food and drink in the places we visited. We had just the right amount of time with him and then to wander on our own at each place, with no dawdling or rushing. We got back in good time (with a small detour to show us a light show) and he even dropped us off at a bar we were meeting a friend at. I would recommend him without hesitation.

The moment you arrive, the iconic Romanesque bridge takes your breath away—crossing it feels like stepping straight into a storybook. The old town is beautifully preserved, full of charming cobblestone streets, stone archways, and small surprises around every corner. Besalú is very walkable, making it perfect for a relaxed half-day or full-day visit. There are plenty of cafés and restaurants with outdoor seating—great spots to enjoy a coffee or meal with a view of the bridge. Free to go in. I suggest going early to avoid the crowd.

This should be a 10 Star post. Miquel is perfectly suited as not only the most skilled and knowledgeable guide, But as an ambassador for Spain and Catalonia. He quickly bonded the variety of 8 different personalities into a bonded team only hoping to compare to his top 2 favorite soccer teams. FCB And Not Madrid. Easily adding joke in to his style of explaining history and sites while repeating all of our names many times. Definitely a person to sit at the head of our table and win hearts for ever. Also, the very best driver.

This is an excellent tour if you want to explore medieval towns for its history and architecture. You cover beautiful scenery of Catalonia on the way. Xavier, my guide, was insightful, passionate and knowledgeable about this region. He was brilliant in helping me understand the importance of these places and this region. I finally got to try the local pork sausage dish with white beans. A very enjoyable day tour with lots of happy memories!

My family and I booked this trip for a chance to get out of the city and see a bit of Spains country side and medieval history and it did not disappoint. Gaspar was our driver/guide and he was great. He kept the day moving but it never felt rushed and provided detailed information. The towns all had their own charms and we loved being able to stroll the market in Vic. Overall a great day!
