Unforgettable Mallorca: Train, Boat & Scenic Day Trip
No address available
ISLAND TOUR is the best day out in Mallorca: ride the Soller train, take a boat along the coastline, visit La Calobra and enjoy a tram ride as you witness Mallorca's beautiful landscapes. A highlight of the tour if you are from the north area pick-ups is stopping at La Calobra emblematic "Nudo de la Corbata" road, where you’ll have the chance to take some photos and enjoying a drink in the picturesque surroundings from the heights. In case of being from the south area pick-ups, we'll enjoy 40 minutes in Lluc. In both cases, we'll explore the Calobra beach and its crystal-clear waters. Next stop by boat will be the charming coastal village of Port Soller, enjoy lunch at your leisure, and then hop aboard the local tram for a picturesque ride to Soller, where your guide will take you through the village's highlights. Finally, sit back and unwind on the vintage wooden train as you enjoy breathtaking views of the Soller Valley's lush agricultural fields on your way to Son Reus.

MUST DO TOUR.!! The best views ever. Breathtaking. The guide was very friendly and shared interesting facts. Whole day organized very well, interesting, not rushed, just enough free time to enjoy everything. We had absolutely perfect day.

This is a wonderful trip. I loved going on it. Our guide was funny and knowledgeable. The trip was really well thought out. We loved learning about the history of the area and exploring the island. The Serra de Tramuntana is a UNESCO site for a reason, it is a stunning location and is a backdrop to this entire trip. At the Santuari de Lluc you will be recommended the Almond Gato, make sure you get it, it tastes amazing, we tried the chocolate one. Make sure to speak to the lady in the gift shop, she’ll tell you all about the history of the sanctuary and church. Port de Sa Calobra is beautiful. Make sure to grab lunch while you are there. We got lunch at Bar Playa and enjoyed the views over the port. I wish that the trip was longer. I’d have loved to have some time in Port de Sóller and Sóller so we could explore the shops and take some photographs. Would have also liked for the coach to have clear windows so I could have taken better photos from it.

A well organised trip with the excellent Luis as our guide. The coach arrived on time and was comfortable. The scenery on the drive through the mountains was beautiful and Luis provided us with commentary. Boat trip from Sa Calobra to Puerto de Soller where there was plenty of time to get lunch before the tram to Soller and train to near Palma. It was lovely to see the north of the island, yes I'd have liked more time to explore places but it isn't possible with the itinerary. For us this was an excellent way to reach areas we'd otherwise struggle to get to. Our boys aged 2 and 6 had an amazing day despite it being a long day. Highly recommend both the trip and the company.

Great day trip by No Frills Excursions. Antonio, our guide was fantastic, very knowledgeable. It was a long day, bus through the Sierra de Tramontana mountain range, sheer drops either side. Fantastic views, and special mention to Miguel the driver, how he navigates those hairpin corners is amazing. Boat trip between Sa Calobra and Puerto de Soller was beautiful but could have benefitted from a little commentary about the areas we passed. Lunch isn't included, but there are plenty of restaurants in Puerto de Soller. Then the tram to Soller itself, a lovely little town, again some commentary would have been of benefit. 45 minutes later, the train to just outside Palma. Then the bus back to the hotel. My only real gripe was that the bus was a little uncomfortable and some more leg room would have been appreciated. Unfortunately the main thing that spoiled this trip was the lack of consideration shown by some people when the fantastic commentary by Antonia was in a language other than their own. They constantly kept talking loudly and at times it was difficult to hear. Maybe, a gentle request by the guide to passengers to respect other languages would be of benefit in the future

The bus driver was amazing, driving up through the mountains was stunning. Our guide was very good with local knowledge and instructions.

Super well organized and well guided. Perfectly paced. Beautiful scenery and geography. Lots of information about what we were seeing was provided.

Some parts of this excursion were great - the boat and the train ride particularly. The guide, Juan, was fantastic. But there were disappointments. The coach was late picking us up. It was RAMMED (and I mean that - not a single spare seat). And it had screened “privacy” windows. So we were on a sightseeing tour where is was very difficult to see anything at all, let alone take any photos. I might use this company again, but not for a coach-based tour.

This tour is a great way to travel through and visit the west of Mallorca between Palma, the spectacular Tramuntana Mountains and the coast. The tour lasted about 9 hours, from 9:30 pickup in Palma port to drop-off at about 6:20pm. Our itenerary took us by coach to the monastery at Lluc, famous for its shrine to the Black Madonna, where we spent about 40 minutes. The mountain roads are exciting and the coach driver's skill admirable! From Lluc we were driven over the mountains and down more switchback roads to the little harbour of Sa Calobre where we had time for refreshments before boarding a large (fast) pleasure boat for the 40 minute trip to Port of Soller. More leisure time here before boarding our carriage on the vintage tram ride to Soller, a few km inland. In Soller there was time to look around the impressive church, have a beer, visit an art expo (Miro and Picasso) before boarding our reserved carriage on the vintage (wooden) train back through the mountains towards Palma. We rejoined the coach outside Palma for the return to our drop-off points. The timings worked out perfectly, the modes of travel entertainingly varied and the scenery beatuful and spectacular. A stress-free, well managed day out with an excellent multilingual guide (Guiseppe).

Majorca sightseeing with boat and vintage train was an amazing all day tour. Our tour guide Pepe was good too. The winding roads by bus was a thrill in itself. We saw the Black Madonna, the boat ride along the rocky coastline and the vintage train.
