Thessaloniki has 15 early Christian and Byzantine monuments protected by UNESCO as World Heritage Sites.
This is a walking tour we explore the rich cultural and religious heritage of this unique city, its tiny or larger churches hidden almost everywhere. Many of them are decorated with mosaics and frescoes still preserved dating back from the 4th to the 14th century. Starting from the top of the hill with the Byzantine time Acropolis and along the city walls, we continue downhills to the city center.
We visit all monuments, mostly churches, with no admission fee required.
