Food Tasty Walking Tour in Civitavecchia

We had an amazing city tour with our guide Raf. She is a local guide here in town. Her passion for the history really shines. We had opportunities to eat at local spots and completed the tour with the cities history. I was so happy to find this tour as we didn’t want to see Rome but the city we departed from. If you’re staying in town this city tour is well worth your time!

Our guide Roberta was amazing. We learned how important Civitavecchia was to Italy throughout history as a trading and defensive port. We also saw the oldest church in Civitavechia, Church of Saint Mary of the Prayer. The four food stops provided us with samples of delicious Italian cuisine and we thoroughly enjoyed the informative tour.

We loved learning about Civitavecchia! Our guide was amazing and could impart so much personal knowledge as she lives in Civitavecchia. All the stops along the way provided us with a deep understanding of this incredible pity city. The tastings we enjoyed very much as well topped off with a delicious glass of wine and tapas delights. Definitely recommend highly!

Roberta offered a wonderful overview of Civitavecchia’s history and current life. The food was over the top!… nice variety and plentiful! This is a great tour for first-timers and repeat visitors alike. Good value.

This was a great tour. More history than food, which is what we were looking for. The food was delicious, but we were able to eat dinner later in the day. Raf, the tour guide was very enthusiastic to tell the history of the area, and had great pictures to show how certain areas looked before bombings and rebuildings, which really helped to understand the history.

Such a great tour. Pur guide was passionate and humorous and very knowledgeable. Loved all the foos stories and the finale....wow! If you get a chance, please go.

RAF was wonderful. Good conversation, good history acknowledged, good food places and can’t forget the food market. Love strolling through the city and looking at historic buildings and the stories behind them. At the end the restaurant served delicious food and wine. Was a great day to celebrate my 70th birthday. Would do it again.

We had an amazing time with Raf on this tour. We came to town a few days early (before our cruise) and this was such a good tour. The history that Raf provides was incredible….especially liked some of the pictures she showed on her iPad (gave a great historical perspective). The last stop with the “Surprise” was so fun and again - great food.

We were fortunate to have found Salvatore and Incitur. They provided us with great suggestions and were able to tailor a tour for us that took us off the beaten path. We visited the Bracciano castle, lake, and drove thru scenic areas nearby. We topped it off with a great "treasure" lunch in Civitavecchia. Such a great day. Salvatore and Paola were kind, very knowledgeable and amazing guides and hosts for our visit. Do yourself a favor and explore the towns around the Port. So much to learn, see and do, especially if you've already been to Rome. We highly recommend Incitur. Their attention to detail was greatly appreciated.
