Seoul's Secret Alleys: Unforgettable Foodie & Drink Quest

This was a great experience to try foods that we otherwise probably wouldn’t have tried like the street food tents, spicy small crab, and fried pancake with japapeno and garlic. The group we went with was also super friendly. So we got to eat and drink with new ppl and have a good time.

Fun tour with lots of drinking! Mike was very knowledgeable and provided a lot of detail on the different foods and drinks as well as the area in general, but I really liked that the explanations were quick and to the point, leaving more time to actually enjoy the items being presented. It was also nice that the tour was flexible, allowing the group to choose from various options and add-ons along the way.

I didn’t enjoy this tour. The host was was the issue He spoke wayyy too quickly and we couldn’t understand about 40 % of what he said. It felt Very rushed. He was not personable to the point of coming across a bit arrogant. He rushed everything. This wasn’t a good experience for me. I have done over 40 food tours globally. This was a 5 out of 10 and just nowhere near where the standard of food tours in other countries. Note / if u are not super adventurous with food this is not for you. Note / there was no attempt to satisfy eaters that wouldn’t eat fish jerky or chicken hearts or pig cartiledge or octopus or raw beef. My suggestion is the tour guide needs to be more personable with his guests. I felt like a number and not a like a paying guest. How this tour has such a high rating is beyond me… I guess that comes from the guides requesting a good review and most people just obliging without giving any real thought or not having anything to compare the tour to..? Look to others - as I was disappointed.

Mike was an extremely good host, and super knowledgeable about the food scene in Seoul! Would highly recommend booking with him, he really knows the “if you know you know” places, and has great taste as a former chef.

Our family had a great time. Fun variety of foods in the market and the neighborhoods. Definitely recommend!

Really enjoyed the food and drink tour. Went at a great pace. Tried loads of different foods, which were all great, and also introduced to some new drinks. Similar price to tours that last less than half the time and has made me.a lot more.confidemt to take on the traditional Korean food.for.the rest of.my trip. Definitely recommend.

Fabulous tour. Mike has extensive food and beverage knowledge. He brought us to places we would never have tried on our own, encouraged us to eat foods we would not have tried without a good explanation of how they were prepared and how they tasted. We had local delicacies and beverages that we had no knowledge of. This is one of the best food tours I have ever been on

Mike was an amazing guide! He has lots of fun knowledge on Korean food, drink, and history. I highly recommend this tour for exploring authentic street food. He also thoughtfully answered everyone’s questions, including my numerous random pop culture ones 😊
